Nestled at the corner of Santa Victoria and Santa Carolina Road, Deeann Baldwin Plaza, a beautiful 1.4-acre park, opened to the community on June 11th, 2026.

Parks have long been a vital part of Otay Ranch. They symbolize our dedication to enhancing the livability and quality of life for residents. This park, designed to cater to a diverse range of backgrounds and lifestyles, features a large open-turf space, swings, shaded picnic tables, bocce ball, and a game area featuring ping pong tables, foosball and cornhole.

The ribbon-cutting was attended by the Baldwin Family, Mayor John McCann, representatives from the Schmidt Design Group, Baldwin Company employees and more.

The park is named in memory of the late Deeann Baldwin. Speeches from family members including her eldest grandchild spoke about her loving nature, vibrant personality, and welcoming presence. She turned her home into a central gathering place for the Baldwin family. We hope the park embodies her spirit, serving the community as a place where everyone can come, gather and be welcome.
